I've not felt up to working in my studio for nearly a month...and I was thrilled to pull out the amazing Painted Harvest Stamp Set for this challenge. And...when I saw the color combination for this week's challenge I knew just what I wanted to so with it! I don't know about you...but at this time each year I start thinking about putting together some small, handmade gifts to have..for not only Christmas, but also for fall and Thanksgiving. These colors would be perfect...I thought...for a stack of handmade thank you notes...for fall or Thanksgiving. And...I enjoy using more non-traditional colors when I'm stamping...because it's like a fun surprise! Oh...and I also stamped a stack of coordinated envelopes.
I also have to say that I seriously enjoyed getting back to stamping basics...with stamps, paper and ink. Simple...and lovely!

I wasn't sure how I was going to use this color combo...but when I got out a few of my favorite Stampin' Up! products and got to work this sweet card came together easy peasy!
So...a bit about my Stampin' Up! favorites. I have to say first that I am so stinking excited about the new, 2017-2018 Annual Catalog! So. Much. Goodness! If I had to choose an absolute favorite it would be the Wood Words. Everything amazing packed into one little
bundle...with stamps in wood mount or clear mount and the cutest framelits I've ever seen!
And it's all a part of the amazing Wood Textures Suite...shown here!
The other favorite that I pulled for this project is the also brand new Pick a Pattern DSP. Best ever...I swear...and it really has something for everyone. Guys...gals...kiddos...it's there!
I think a great challenge will take you a bit out of your comfort zone and
help you to see the possibilities in something unfamiliar...and this
challenge has certainly done that for me.
And speaking of the comfort zone...have you noticed new look here? I hope so...and I hope you love it as much as I do! Because I'm kind of a control freak (Ha!) I typically design everything myself...but this time I worked with my sweet, talented friend Susan Wong at stampingsusan.blogspot.com to get this job done right! I'm so in love with her work...and I'm as pleased as punch at how everything looks! And bonus...another outside of the comfort zone success. Thank you, Susan...I had the BEST time! xoxo
