Black and White Fancy Technique - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
I was thrilled to be invited to be a Fancy Friday friend...so here I am...with this group of amazing past and present Artisans!  Yep...thrilled...and super excited about my first theme - a Fancy Technique Challenge!

I recently read an article about using white paper as gift wrap.  It's amazing how a simple white paper can quickly and easily be transformed into a fabulous wrap...especially when it's when paired with black or with a bit of color.  So...of course...I had to try it.  White with black and a bit of color...or both.

I have to say first of all that I LOVE holly!  It's one of my favorite Christmas images...and I feel like I haven't used it enough this year...so I decided to remedy that.  Ha!  For my first gift card envelope I stayed with black images on white...and I added a touch of gold with the embossed sentiment and the Gold 1/4" Natural Trim ribbon.

For my next gift card envelope I stayed with the black images...and I added a touch of color with water coloring and Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is also embossed in gold.

I stayed with black images on white paper and a touch of water coloring for my tags...and I topped them off with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine.

Simple and easy!

Thanks for stopping by for the Fancy Friday blog hop!  My new friend Jeanna is next...so hop on over to check it out!

13 Days of Halloween 2016 - Day 8!

Happy Friday!  I'm stopping in to share a super fun...and easy...Halloween project!  And it's all about treats...not tricks!

I think the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set is just the cutest thing...ever!  Just stamp the image... and punch it out using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch...and in no time at all your yummy treats are adorable...and extra special!  Oh...and did you notice the little bows on the skeletons?  Yep...one for the girls...and one for the guys...and they're included in the stamp set and punch, too.  Cute...easy...and adorable.  What could be better?

13 Days of Halloween 2016 - Day 6!

I'm up to my eyeballs in the studio...but I haven't forgotten about our 13 Days!  FINALLY... Day 6 is here, and first... I'm going to share my inspiration for this day's project.

Donna Griffith...an amazing trainer from the Stampin' Up! home office...shows us how to make gift boxes in any size in this video.

If you know me...you know how much I LOVE gift boxes...so much...and I had to try it out...for these little Halloween boxes.

Super cute...super simple...and super FUN.  And...I have the perfect little treat to go inside.  But that's for another day.

For now...follow along with Donna...and if you want to make this box it's  2-1/2" square...and 2-1/4" tall; and the lid is 2-1/2" square...and 7/8" high.  And don't forget to post photos!  I'd love to see them!
