#TGIF105 - TGIF is Two!

Good morning...and Happy Friday!  I'm back...for a party...because TGIF is Two!

It's #TGIF105...and it's a celebration...and that's the celebrate!

Click the image just above to go to the TGIF Challenge blog for the challenge see what the TGIF designers have shared to inspire you...and to see what other challengers have created, too!  But's my celebration inspired project!

When I saw this challenge I knew right away I wanted to use the Glamper Greetings Stamp Set...because I think the may the adventures continue sentiment is perfect for our TGIF birthday celebration!  Traditional birthday cards often say something like and many more...because we want that person to have many more birthdays.  I think TGIF challenges are an adventure...and I hope the adventures continue!  See?  Perfect!

And then...there's the water coloring.  I recently saw a print of a Volkswagon van with "drippy" water coloring...and I thought it would be a cool technique to use with this image.  I love the way it turned bright and fun and perfect for a celebration!

How will YOU be inspired by this week's celebration challenge?  You'll find the link to add your own project at the #TGIF105 Challenge page HERE.  I can't wait to see what you create!

As always...

The bits of DSP I've used are a sneak peek from the 2017-2018 Catalog...come on June 1st!  This fun paper is called Pick a Pattern.  Watch for it...I know you're gonna want it!

Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Artwork Challenge

Welcome to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop...a super fun hop where I'm lucky enough to get to work with some fancy friends...who are also past and current Stampin' Up! Artisans!  On the last Friday of each month we hop with a new challenge...and this month the challenge is to create a card without a sentiment or any wording on the front and to instead create a piece of ART!

So,'s my art...

and a bit of backstory.  When my daughter got married several years ago we used a #10 card size for the ceremony programs and for the menu cards.  A #10 card (also known as a tea length card) is BIG (9-1/4 x 4)...and you can put a LOT on a card that size!  I'm not sure why...because I really liked #10 card, but I don't think I've made one since then ...nearly seven years ago!  I'm kind of the same about butterflies.  I like them...and I have all of the current Stampin' Up! butterfly dies and stamps...but I rarely use them.  So...when I was inspired to pull out the butterflies for this challenge, I just knew the #10 card size would be the perfect base for my art.

This card's large size...along with the neutrals and the butterfly variations...really do look like art.  I love much that I made several to share...and I just might frame one!

Thank you so much for stopping by for the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!  I hope you're inspired to create you own artwork card...and I'd LOVE to see it! it, using #fancyfridaybloghop when you share it...and let me or one of my fancy friends know!

And now...hop over to my see what my talented, fancy friend Krista has to share!
As always...

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - A Sara Thing Kit

Good morning...and welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - a brand new hop featuring alternative designs for Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin kits!

Image may contain: text celebration of Paper Pumpkin's 4th birthday April's kit was inspired and designed by Stampin' Up! CEO Sara Douglass...which makes this hop all the more exciting!  I've created two CAS cards with this month's kit...aptly named A Sara let's get started!

One of the things I love about this kit is its clean lines and bright, fun colors...including the envelopes!  Here, I've paired washi tape (included in the kit) with a fun accent piece...cut from the envelope...and a bold, repeating sentiment to create this Dad card.  It's masculine and fun...and perfect for Father's Day. could switch out the sentiment for a teacher or friend, too!

For Mom, I also used the envelope...this time as DSP to create my focal point.  I again used the striped inside...and the envelope outside provided an awesome base for my sentiment.  I LOVE the envelope's outside "splatter print"...perfect for this card.  All that was left was to add the pink, sparkly flower and two-toned leaves...also included in the kit.

Thanks so much for joining the new A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!  I hope you'll hop through to see all of the amazing projects!  I know you'll want to hop over to see what Megan has for you next.  It's sure to be fabulous!
