Black and White Fancy Technique - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
I was thrilled to be invited to be a Fancy Friday friend...so here I am...with this group of amazing past and present Artisans!  Yep...thrilled...and super excited about my first theme - a Fancy Technique Challenge!

I recently read an article about using white paper as gift wrap.  It's amazing how a simple white paper can quickly and easily be transformed into a fabulous wrap...especially when it's when paired with black or with a bit of color.  So...of course...I had to try it.  White with black and a bit of color...or both.

I have to say first of all that I LOVE holly!  It's one of my favorite Christmas images...and I feel like I haven't used it enough this year...so I decided to remedy that.  Ha!  For my first gift card envelope I stayed with black images on white...and I added a touch of gold with the embossed sentiment and the Gold 1/4" Natural Trim ribbon.

For my next gift card envelope I stayed with the black images...and I added a touch of color with water coloring and Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is also embossed in gold.

I stayed with black images on white paper and a touch of water coloring for my tags...and I topped them off with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine.

Simple and easy!

Thanks for stopping by for the Fancy Friday blog hop!  My new friend Jeanna is next...so hop on over to check it out!

  1. I love that you so effectively featured SMALL stamps. Sometimes they can be so challenging.
