Guy Greetings - Stamp Review Crew!

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2016/05/stamp-review-crew-guy-greetings-edition.html

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew...featuring the Guy Greetings stamp set...a fabulous collection of images for all of the men in your life!  I've been super excited to share my project...and lucky me...I've gotten a head start on Father's Day with this card and matching gift tag!

When I was thinking about my card I loved the idea of rows of brightly colored shoes...but then they seemed a bit too bright.  So...it was Vellum Cardstock to the rescue!  I loved the muted to tones even better...and they seemed a perfect background for a bit of White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Basic Black Cardstock.  Seriously...it's my go to...and I always love the results!  A bit of embellishment seemed in order, too...and here I chose Silver Metallic Thread and White Perfect Accents

And the matching tag?  It was a cinch...just a mini version of my card.

It's a bit early to package it all up...but I plan to attach the tag to a bag of fresh peanuts...for my father-in law...from all of us.  Simple...and something I know he'll enjoy!

Thank you for hopping with the Stamp Review Crew and the Guy Greetings Stamp Set!  If you're hopping in order you've just come from the talented Kelly Kent...and next up I know you'll love what Lisa Young has to share!

XOXO Tag

So...I love making tags...especially for Valentine's Day...and I wanted to whip up a couple of tags for the guys in my life.  But...If you're a crafter...you know how hard it can be...those cards and gifts for the guys we love...be they old or young!

Well...I was determined...so I got these old wheels turning...and starting thinking...one of the stamp sets I often turn to when I'm creating "masculine" is Gorgeous Grunge...but how to do that for Valentine's Day?

Perhaps like this...

because it's simple...to the point...and grungy.  It's all guy...in one small tag!

Technique Tips:
  • The Curvy Corner Trio Punch is perfect for creating a guy tag!  Here I've turned a simple rectangle into a tag with it's ribbon slide cut.
  • Punch  or die cut any shape in the middle of the grungy image and fill from the back with a bit of color...in this case it's Red Foil Sheets.
  • Not familiar with the stamped image used here?  It's from the Project Life Remember This Stamp Set!  Seriously...the Project Life stamp sets are packed with images and sentiments...making them incredibly versatile!
