A Couple of Firsts!

I couldn't be more happy that this inaugural post is a "craft" post - and how cool is it that it is also my first time participating in Papertrey Ink's Blog Hop! This month's challenge was to use buttons. Not hard to meet that challenge. Gotta run for now, but I'll add the deets later. TFL (thanks for looking) and enjoy!

ETA:  Stopping in to add this card's fun details:

All supplies are from PTI unless otherwise noted. Stamps:  Everyday Button Bits, Take Three: Spring, Vintage Picnic, Asian Fusion; Cardstock:  Aqua mist, white; Designer Paper: American Crafts, Dear Lizzy series; Ink: Dark Chocolate, Melon Berry, Summer Sunrise; Vintage Buttons; Melon Berry Twill Ribbon; Vintage Touch Tea Dye Duo; Rustic Jute Button Twine; Medium Scalloped Border Die; Sewing Machine; Copic Marker.

To make the basket, I stamped one of the Vintage Picnic basket stamp and cut it to fit the bicycle.  I colored it with my Copic markers and then used the Tea Dye Duo to "vintage" it up.  I stamped small flowers from the Asian Fusion set onto the panel and then added the basket.  I really wanted it to look like the flowers were in the basket.  I truly had so much fun making this card, and it was one of those times when what was in my brain actually made it to the paper - yeah!
