It's also a time for more change as we have become true empty nesters. Our youngest, our son, has purchased his first home and has moved out. Last week were discussing some of the details, and he said that he commented that he'd like a specific dinner when he comes to visit, and it really hit me that my baby, my sunshine, is leaving. When he left I cried. I didn't cry because I was sad. I cried because change is hard even when the change is for something good.
I made this card to write to him and tell him how proud I am of the wonderful man he has become and how much I love him. I will miss him, but I am so happy for him and for the life he is creating for himself.
Here they are after packing up at our home. What a sweet little family!
Of course Timothy needed to be entertained, and it seems like Mommy's sunglasses were just the ticket!
Aunt Megan sure knows how to make him smile!
I know I have been neglecting the blog lately. I have so much to share, and will work hard to post more in the future.
What a sweet card! I love the colors and the patterned paper is really cool. Your post made me cry and wonder if my mom was sad when I moved out. :o( I hope not, but I have a feeling she was...I know I was weepy for a few days afterwards.
