And now...on to the projects!  It's amazing what inspires us sometimes, isn't it?  As a stamper and crafter I feel like my brain is always working...and anything can be inspiring...color, design, home decor, fashion...and food!  Like this...

a special "cold treat" I made for our grandsons!  Timothy...nearly seven now...loves his cold treats...and anything with sprinkles...and this is one my favorite Everyday Extraordinary tricks.  Ice cream sandwiches...with sprinkles!  This one got me an extra hug from my favorite little guys...and it inspired this project, too!  Bonus!

I actually tried a bit of water coloring...for the first time.  I know!  Water coloring is incredibly popular...and it's everywhere...and I'm always uber impressed with people with mad water coloring skills.  I don't have them.  But...I had to try...because I wanted this to have the soft, sweet look of ice cream.  And I think it worked!  Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies + Water Coloring = Perfection!

So...I had to try it again...this time with lots of color and a bit of Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder...

and a sweet chocolate treat!  These little leaves...the stamp from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and the die from the Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies...are amazing!  They're absolutely classic and timeless in design...but pair them with a bit of unique color and they're also fresh and fun!

Together...a card and a chocolate treat.  I don't know about you, but it makes me smile!

And...I couldn't resist...a look at my first water coloring projects...together!

Thank you...so much...for joining our global Stamin' Up! Artisan Design Team on this special blog hop featuring the AMAZING Thoughtful Branches Bundle.  If you're hopping in order...you've just come from the talented Steffi...and I just know that Susan has something wonderful to share, too!

  7. Your watercoloring is very nice. I'm curious how you did the one tree that is blue. It looks like it was done on Whisper White but the cuts didn't come out. Did you watercolor the blue? I absolutely love that one! TFS.

    1. Thank you, Karen, for your kind comments! For the blue tree, I inked up the stamp with Night of Navy ink, spritzed it with alcohol and then stamped it on watercolor paper. When it dried I die cut the image...but I didn't use the Precision Base Plate, because I didn't want the intricate cuts to to all the way through. Some did anyway...so I used Tear & Tape on the reverse side to keep everything in one piece. I used the same ink, spritz and die cut method with the tree trunk. Please post what you've created...I'd love to see it! Thank you again!
