Welcome to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop! We have a super fun theme...and I'm super excited about it! Oh...and it's actually two challenges in one theme!
So...here's challenge one...
a fun sketch. And challenge two? To create two cards...both from the sketch...one designed for a beginner stamper...and another, stepped up version for the more experienced or avid stamper. See...it's two challenges in one! So first...here they are together...
challenge one and two together... the beginner and stepped up versions...and both from our sketch!
I remember so clearly my early stamping days...and the true, simple magic of stamps, ink and paper together. And so...I wanted to embrace that magic for my beginner stamper card...in this.
To create the focal piece I stamped and punched my sentiment (the best friend anywhere ever, from the Badges & Banners stamp set) and layered it with both a double banner Emerald Envy piece die cut from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies and a Watermelon Wonder square. I also wanted to draw on the small stars in the main sentiment to add a bit of stamped "embellishment" and interest to my card...so I pulled in the solid star image from the Birthday Blast stamp set to give me just the look I was looking for!
And then...to step it up...I did this.
Together...
and separately...
they're Fancy Friday...for sure!
