Stamp Ink Paper - Sketch Challenge

Good morning...and happy Tuesday!  I'm super excited to be guest designing this month with the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge Design Team.  Word on the street is that the team is talented and fun...so I'm totally looking forward to this.  Oh...and another cool thing...the month begins with a sketch challenge!  Woo-hoo!

No automatic alt text available.

I really think there's nothing like sketch work.  It's so much more than starting point... because you can follow the sketch  closely...or you can take it for a ride with your own interpretation!  You can flip it to its side or upside down...you can rotate the elements...and a floral focal point can become a square or a star or even feather!  Typically I love the ride...but sometimes...with only a glance...the clearest vision of the the finished project literally pops off the page from the sketch itself.  Like here...

the minute I saw the challenge sketch I knew that my card would look exactly like this.  It's amazing when it all comes together...and just one reason to begin with a sketch!

So...jump over to the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge blog for all the Challenge #89 Sketch details...and add your project at the link.  I'd LOVE to see your sketch work!

As always...

  1. Happy to have you with us, Sue! I had to laugh when I saw your card, because I always pictured the DSP going the other direction....like banners....and obviously, it looks just a great going the other way! I see mountains! And a terrific card, great masculine take on the sketch!
