Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop - Beautiful Blessing

Yes...you read it right...Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop...SERIOUSLY!  I still cannot believe it...and I continue to be humbled and amazed.

So...if this is your first visit...here's a bit about me...

I'm Sue Plote, and I live with my husband of 27 years on a farm in Northern Illinois.  We have two grown children...and two amazing grandsons.  I’ve been crafting my whole life...since my mom helped me make my first sewing project for 4-H many years ago.  I grew up wanting to be an interior designer, but life took me down a different path...and  I attended college and finished graduate school specializing in marriage and family therapy...and I worked in social services for a bit over 25 years.  Twelve years ago I was invited to a Stampin' Up! workshop by a friend.  I liked the idea of stamping...but I said from the get go I would never accumulate even as much as my friend had in her three drawer, Rubbermaid cart. Ha! I absolutely fell in LOVE with Stampin' Up!...the quality products and the coordination won me over...and it wasn't long until I had my first go round as a demonstrator. When my crazy job took me away from stamping I had to step back...but I kept stamping when I could.  I adore card making...but my heart truly lies in gift packaging...and I often make something special to add to gifts of fresh baked bread or fresh goodies from our large garden. I signed up as a demonstrator again in 2014...to be selected for the Artisan Team was my first goal...and I still can't believe it!

Now...even though the Artisan Team was my goal, I almost didn't apply.  I know...what's that all about?!?  But at literally the last hour...I did...and one day in the fall I got a call from that I had been chosen for the Team.  What?  Seriously...I sobbed...I was so excited I was shaking!  I was driving...and I had to pull over.  Now...it's not all roses...I was sworn to secrecy until the Team announcement was made at OnStage in November...and let me tell you...it was a long, hard wait!  Ha!  There are tons of perks...cash...a Stampin' Up! shopping spree...free product four times a year...and a Tiffany bracelet!  But...I have to say...the biggest perk is getting to know so many wonderful new friends.  Every person involved with this Team is nothing short of AMAZING...and not only the other designers...everyone at the Stampin' Up! home office is incredible, too!  Okay...now I'm gushing...so it's time for my first Artisan project...

If you are joining me from the Artisan Blog Hop you just came from Steffi Helmschrott. Up next is Susan Wong!   Read on...you don't want to miss it!
