So...I've been wanting to make a note card set...something to have on hand for every day....and I knew the  Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and Flourish Thinlits would be perfect for my project.  I also wanted to create Mini Treat Bags using the 2015-2017 In Color Envelope Paper as fun, unique envelopes.  Everything came together so quickly...and here they are...something extraordinary for every day!

Now...I've mentioned the versatility of our featured stamp set...Flourishing Phrases...but I also have to say that the coordinating 2015-2017 In Color products make projects like this so EASY!  In no time I was able to die cut the treat bag envelopes and the detailed flowers...one in each color..and then grab the 2015-2017 In Color Doilies...and a bit of cardstock...also one in each color.  Some sweet finishing touches in vellum and gold...and a lovely focal element was born!  I wrapped my envelope with Linen Thread and added the gold embossed hello sentiment...and it's the sweet, perfect little note.

It really is the little things...isn't it?

Thank you...so much for joining us!  If you're hopping in order you've just come from the talented Steffi, and I know you won't want to miss what Susan has for you next!  It's sure to be fabulous!

Hello...Do You Like My Hat?

It's funny...what inspires us...even the littlest thing can spark a bit of creativity...and our mind wanders and we can end up just where we need to be!

Like this:
I really want to make some samples with things from the new Occasions Catalog...
I loved the Snuggles and Smooches stamp set and I'm so happy the image in this new set has those cool circles...gotta use that...and it looks so cool embossed...so let's do that
Oh...and I want to add a heart...but it looks kinda boring...hmm...but I like the color
I like the embossing and the layers...
it needs something...and I have to use this new twine...
and I need a sentiment...
I miss Kenneth (my youngest grandson)...and we need to read Go Dog Go (Dr. Seuss) when he's here again...he's so cute when we read the line "Hello!  Do you like my hat?"...
Aaaah...it doesn't have to be a stamped sentiment...just use hello from the Greetings Thinlits...cut it from the Silver Foil Sheet...like it...
oh...and use some of those pieces from the 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon that have been piling up...put them on the heart...
Done...love it.

Now...I didn't add some thoughts...like the ones about the dirty windowsills...or my internal debate about taking a break for a piece of pie... or a few others that truly weren't useful...
and most wouldn't look at this card and think of a three year-old boy...or Dr. Seuss...or dogs or hats for that matter...but I will.

And I did get a piece of pie.

 As always...

Rootin' Tootin'!

In our family we give a lot of gift cards and cash.  Alas, while I love to shop...for just about any reason...many in my family actually prefer cash or a gift card, and I've had to let it go.  After all, it's most important that everyone gets the gift they really want, right?  As a "glass is a half-full" kind of girl, I realize that less time in the store can mean more time in the craft room!  Yay!  Creative and fun gift card envelopes...here I come!

I was THRILLED to see the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlits Dies in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog...it was first on my wish list.  It's something that I just know I'll use over and over again...and GOOD NEWS...this die will be available tomorrow!

In the meantime, I needed to gift card envelope for a special little guy...a little cowboy...and Stampin' Up!'s latest photopolymer stamp set...Yee-Haw...fit the bill perfectly.  Here's what I came up with:

Rather than just dropping the cash in the envelope I cut a tag and put together a band to wrap it up...and tie it all together.  I love the extra little touch this brings to the project!   Everything fits right in the envelope.  So cute and fun!
